For all of us, the benefits of practising mindfulness, of being here for Now, can be enormous. Everybody, without exception, would like to feel a deep abiding peace, one which is not so easily disturbed. And we’d all like to have a zest and love for life that is not dependent upon what is happening in the world. All this and more, comes to those who commit themselves to being fully awake, to being right here for the Now.

If we are a parent, practising mindfulness brings us to our centre, so that we can be like a lighthouse in a storm for our children – rock-steady, loving, patient and kind.
